Event to Mark 50th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between DPRK and Uganda Held

 
A celebration meeting, lecture meeting and film show took place through  Internet in Kampala of Uganda from August 1 to 3 on the occasion of 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Republic of Uganda.
Present there were the general  secretary  of the National Resistance Movement of Uganda and personages from government, political parties, organisations and institutions such as the presidential office, the prime minister office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Resistance Movement, the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of Juche Idea, the Uganda-DPRK Friendship Association, the Union of Farm and Agricultural Workers, the National Council of Women.
At the film show videos showing the shining development of Juche Korea and scenic spots of the DPRK and Uganda were played.
Speeches were made there.
The speakers warmly congratulated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uganda and the DPRK and said the bilateral relations is the friendship relations with a long history.
The exploits of President Kim Il Sung and His  Excellency  Kim Jong Il who gave material and moral assistance to the national  liberation  struggle and the building of a new society of African people including Uganda and made great  contributions  to  the  accomplishment  of the cause of global independence will be immortal forever, they stressed.
They said that Ugandan people will always stand by the Korean  people in the struggle for ending the domination and interference of  imperialism and building an independent new world and expressed  the conviction that the friendship relations between the two countries will be more strengthened.
