In Autumn of 1960 President Kim Il Sung gave on-site guidance to the west coast area. When he was informed that the people of an area were suffering from the shortage of drinking water he gave an official concerned a task to find a spring water.

The official immediately began exploring for spring water but all the efforts were in vain.

He had a short sleep on the early morning of one day. He awoke to hear the roar of the car close to him and was surprised to see the President.

The President tenderly asked about the spring water to the official approaching him.

The President was told that he had not yet found it out. He told the official to find together with him and turned his steps.

After looking around the village he chose a spot on the seashore for a bore hole. To his surprise a stream of spring water was found two days later.

Some days later the official reported to the President on the result of founding a spring water.

The President said to him that the secret is nothing special, you just regard the people as your teacher and rely upon their wisdom, I met many people living on the seashore on the way for field guidance and was told from them that several times they saw with their eyes a spring water coming out from the place where the sea water is going in and out, I confirmed what they said was true.
