After the liberation of the country (August 15, 1945) President Kim Il Sung brought all the bereaved children of the revolutionaries wandering about at home and abroad to the Mangyongdae Revolutionary School which was founded on October 12, 1947, and showed meticulous warm care for them.
Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the school several times to look after their life with utmost care.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the school two times in October, 2022. He ardently said that when he hears only the name of this school he can feel the strong personality and vital warmth of the President and the Chairman and therefore, this school can be said the school of the President and the Chairman and his own.
He turned the school into the highest institute for the education of bereaved children of the revolutionaries ever known to the world and looked after their life with the greatest possible care.
