It happened in the early morning of October 10, 1946, when President Kim Il Sung gave on-the-spot guidance to Sakju Country, North Phyongan Province.

The adjutant fetched the refreshing water from the spring for the President who sat up again all night.

The President said, the water tastes very good, the spring water can be said to be a “macrobiotic spring”, all the parts of the country have water good to drink and landscape good to see, this place has a hot spring as well as a “macrobiotic spring,” it is a very good place.

The adjutant told the President that the local people regards the spring water as the mineral waters, when he said it is necessary to build the spring well so that the holidayers can take pleasure in using.

The President did not care about his health and thought of the people before anybody else. The adjutant asked the President to take a day off as it was the significant day marking the first founding anniversary of the Party.

He expressed thanks for this and said he was much pleased to drink the “macrobiotic spring” water on the morning of the first anniversary day proclaiming the founding of our Party.

He went on to say, I have many things to do today, I have to make a speech at the welcoming mass rally in Sakju and the then Suphung sub-county on the eve of the first democratic election to be held in our country for the first time and make rounds of the Suphung Power Station. He promised with him to take a rest after the building of a regular army and the foundation of the Republic.
