Wreaths Laid before Liberation Tower
on 78th Anniversary of Korea’s Liberation

Wreaths were laid before the Liberation Tower on August 15, the 78th anniversary of Korea’s liberation.
Seen standing before the tower was a wreath sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
The guard of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the tower.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were leading officials of the Party and state and officials of foreign ministry and the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and other officials concerned.
Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy members were on hand.
The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the DPRK were played.
Written on the ribbons were letters “To the memory of the martyrs of the Soviet Army” and “To sacrificed heroes”.
The participants paid a silent tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the Soviet Army who displayed the noble internationalist obligation and matchless bravery in the sacred war for Korea’s liberation and looked round the tower.
