Pagyon Falls
Pagyon Falls is in Pagyon-ri, Kaesong City of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.It is 37 meters high and 1.5 meters wide.
It is one of the three falls of Korea well known for its beauty.
Its water falls down faster than other falls and the sound of cataracts is roar.
On the hill west of the falls is a pavilion called Pomsajong.
Pagyon Falls is called as one of Three Fames of Songdo along with female poet Hwang Jin and philosopher So Kyong Dok who are well known respectively as female poet and philosopher in Kaesong.
Around the falls are Fort of Mt. Taehung built in the period of Koryo, about 10km around, temples Kwanum and Taehung and other historic spots.
