Inphung Pavilion


Inphung Pavilion in Inphung-Dong, Kanggye City, Jagang Province of the DPRK, dates back to the Feudal Joson Dynasty.
It is on the cliff of the Jangja River in Kanggye. It was a general officer’s terrace northwest of the walled township of Kanggye. It was used for training and inspection of troops.
It was firstly built in 1472 and rebuilt in 1680.
Inphung Pavilion well known as one of the eight scenic spots in North and South Phyongan provinces and Jagang Province from ancient time is in good harmony with natural environment.
It is a valuable historic relic and well preserved and managed. It is used as a cultural recreation centre frequented by the people.
