Kuryong Falls

Kuryong Falls is at Mt. Kumgang.
The falls, called Junghyang Falls, is 74 meters in vertical height, 84 meters in length and 4 meters in width. It is well known as one of the four falls of Mt. Kumgang along with Sibi falls, Pibong falls and Okyong falls.
Beneath the falls is Kuryong pond, 13 meters deep, hollowed by the falling water.
The pond has a legend that there lived nine dragons holding the Mt. Kumgang.
Kuryong falls and Kuryong pond are derived from this legend.
Sangphaldam is above the falls and opposite to it is Kuryong pavilion.
The falls was registered as a living monument in January 1980.
