Holding High Red Flag
On the first day of his start at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea Chairman Kim Jong Il sat up all night at his office room and on the early morning of June 20, 1964, he took a walk in the garden in front of the building together with the officials.
Looking at the red Party flag that day, he said that now we should fly high that red flag and more staunchly work to accomplish the cause of the leader, holding high the red flag of revolution in the face of hardships and trials lying in the road of revolution.
He went on to say that he was assigned to work at the Party Central Committee by the President the previous day and his heart was full of deep emotion, he felt heavier responsibility for the Party and revolution and he resolved to hold the leader in reverence and shoulder the Party true to his intention.
