Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends
Greetings to Chairman of Chongryon
Central Standing Committee

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on September 9.
In the message he extended warm congratulations and compatriotic greetings on behalf of the DPRK government and on his own behalf to Chairman Ho Jong Man and all other Chongryon officials and compatriots in Japan on the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK, the glorious motherland.
The proud course of development covered by the Republic is plainly associated with the patriotic devotion of Chongryon and compatriots in Japan who added enthusiasm and affection to the prosperity of the motherland, flying high our national flag on a windy alien land, he said, adding:
It is a great pride peculiar to our state to have such overseas compatriots as Chongryon officials and Korean residents in Japan who are loyal, patriotic and full of spirit of devotion.
On the occasion of the auspicious national day, I extend the warmest thanks to the patriotic previous generations of Chongryon who devoted all the precious things of their life to the prosperity and development of the Republic and to all the Chongryon officials and compatriots in Japan who are reliably carrying forward the tradition of loyalty and patriotism with the firm faith that they love their country only under the flag of the Republic.
The government of the Republic will, in the future, too, make special efforts to establish more thoroughly the national traits of attaching importance to Chongryon, the patriotic legacy of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, to defend the genuine democratic national rights and interests of Koreans in Japan and to bring earlier the rosy future of the compatriots' community.
I firmly believe that Chongryon officials and other compatriots in Japan will make stubborn efforts to usher in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan and a new era of prosperity of Chongryon, thus writing more brilliant history of patriotism in the great era of our state-first principle. -0-
