A celebration meeting and seminar took place in Russia on June 15 to mark the 58^th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Speeches were made at the functions involving figures of political parties and organizations and people in Russia.

The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Russia Party of Communist Workers and other leadership members of the party at the celebration meeting said that for tens of years the Workers’ Party of Korea has consolidated its position as a leading political organisation and demonstrated its invincible might, it is unthinkable without the feats of Comrade Kim Jong Il.

The chairmen of the Association for the Study of Kimilsungism and Kimjongilism of Rostov, the Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Association for the Study of the Juche Idea of Altai in Russia at the seminar said that Comrade Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), the General Staff of the Korean revolution, was a historic event of weighty importance in strengthening and developing the WPK.

It was stressed that as it is led by Comrade Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the noble intention of the preceding leaders, the WPK is creating world-startling miracles and advancing with confidence along the road of its own development under the complex international political situation, they hoped that the Korean people would register shining successes in the efforts to implement the resolution adopted at the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the 8^th Party Central Committee.
