Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the soon-to-be-opened Kwangbok Area Supermarket on December 15, 2011.

Saying that though it was cold weather he came here to see the commercial service center conducive to the promotion of the welfare of the people and improvement of their livelihood, he made rounds of the counters one by one.

He expressed great satisfaction, saying that though the weather was cold his heart warmed to see the Kwangbok Area Supermarket stacked with commodities .

While making rounds of the counters for a long time, the Chairman took necessary measures saying that whatever the people demanded should be supplied at any cost. Before leaving he said that he liked the people would prefer to patronize the Kwangbok Area Supermarket than Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 and the competition between two units would result in supply of more goods to the people.
