Unforgettable Meeting (5)

Tierno Alliu Binire Diallo, Former Chairman
Parliamentary Group of the United and Progressive Party of Guinea

When I was excited, the President said in a quiet tone, … It is very good for your party to rely upon the peasant masses and teachers. As the teachers have agitprop ability, they are the object to draw on in the development of society and culture.
The peasant comprise the absolute majority of the population and so they are the mass foundation.
In your country the peasants are the motive force of revolution. When intellectuals and the peasants, the absolute majority of the population, are firmly united, traders and entrepreneurs are out of the question. The hostile forces moved to form more than 40 political parties in your country in a bid to weaken your forces. They seek to break up the party so that it can not get united with main forces. It is the tactics of the imperialists to bring about the collapse of revolutionary countries by doing so. The party should strike deep roots in the masses. When it fails to do so, it will be powerless.
I was greatly moved to hear his words.
The President had a grip on our hearts with brilliant wisdom and judgment, articulate logic and strong persuasive power. (continuation follow)
