Sungryong Temple
Among the valuable cultural heritages created by the Korean nation is Sungryong Temple in Central District, Pyongyang.
It is a shrine building dates back to the Feudal Joson Dynasty.
It was built for the first time in the 15th century.
It was a shrine used for the memorial service for Tangun, the ancestral father of Ancient Korea, the first ancient state in the history of Korea.
Later, in the shrine of Tangun the memorial service for King Tongmyong was also held.
The existing building was rebuilt in the 18th century.
The temple is a valuable architectural heritage that shows the architecture of Feudal Joson Dynasty.
