Seven-storied Pagoda of Hyonhwa Temple
Seven-storied Pagoda of Hyonhwa Temple (in Songgyungwan-Dong, Kaesong) was at the site of Hyonhwa Temple. It is now in Koryo Museum (mementoes of Koryo are on display).
According to the monument to Hyonhwa Temple the pagoda was built in the year 1020.
The pagoda consists of the platform, seven-storied body and head. It is 8.64 meters high and a large stone pagoda dating back to Koryo.
It is the valuable remains of national treasure which demonstrates the pagoda building technique of the Korean people and its development.
