A joint seminar of Russian political parties and organizations was held on April 24 to mark the fifth anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s historic visit to the Russian Federation.

Present there were personages of political parties, organizations and institutions including the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Communist Parties-the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Korean War Veterans’ Council and the Society for the Study of the Juche Idea and members of the International Solidarity Group with the DPRK.

The secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation who is head of the Russia-DPRK Friendship Parliamentary Group of the State Duma said that Comrade Kim Jong Un’s first visit to Russia five years ago was an important event in the history of relations between the two countries, which provided a guarantee for carrying forward the long traditions of friendship established in the anti-Japanese days, adding that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is steadfast in its will to invariably develop the friendly relations with the Workers’ Party of Korea and contribute to further strengthening the relations of cooperation between the two countries.

A member of the Writers Union of Russia said that during his stay in DPRK he came to know that sure is the victory of Korea, seeing the people rallied around the leader pulling through hardships in laugh and the people praised highly of Comrade Kim Jong Un who put the national power and position of the DPRK in brief span of time on the highest level as their intimate fatherly leader and the whole world respects him as the most outstanding state political leader in the present era.

The chief of the International Solidarity Group with the DPRK said that today the Russia-DPRK relations made unprecedented development under the care of President Putin and Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs, adding that President of the State Affairs Kim Jong Un’s visit to Russia gave vitality to the development of the bilateral relations with long historical roots.

A statement was adopted at the seminar.

The statement was convinced that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries based on idea of the neighborly friendship, love for peace, internationalism and social justice would be carried forward as a long-range plan by strengthening the strategic cooperation between the DPRK and Russia.
