Day of Tree-planting Marked in DPRK
On the occasion of the Tree-planting Day (March 14), events took place across the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).Taking part in the events were the officials of the Workers’ Party of Korea and government and working people.The Central Tree Nursery under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Central Tree Nursery under the Ministry of Urban Management and the Kangwon Provincial Tree Nursery and other nurseries successfully produced enough saplings needed for tree-planting.The full scale tree-planting activity nationwide will be conducted according to the climate and thawing condition of the relevant regions after the Tree-planting Day.The Red Cross Branches will start the spring tree-planting activity based on their annual plans in close collaboration with the relevant units.
