International Day of Older Persons Marked
The elderly people in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), being respected as the forerunners of the revolution, greeted the International Day of Older Persons.Art performances were given and sport games held for them across the country. Public catering and leisure facilities delighted them with peculiar services.The old persons including war veterans, persons of merits in Pyongyang City, the capital of the DPRK, enjoyed the art performance by the Central Art Squad for Increased Production at the Ponghwa Art Theatre.The performers congratulated them leading happy life in good health.The autumn sports games of elderly people took place at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium.Okryu Restaurant, Chongnyu Restaurant and other public catering establishments in the capital were full of old persons receiving special service.The elderly people in different parts of the country had pleasant time with diverse cultural activities.
