Women Revered as Flowers of Country, Society and Family in the DPRK

Korean women, beloved and revered as flowers of the country, society and family celebrated the 115th International Women’s Day March 8.

On this significant day, they recalled their dignified and proud days during which they have grown into a powerful force pushing one of the two wheels of the revolutionary chariot recording brilliant pages in the history of the country under the state policies of attaching importance to women.

President Kim Il Sung gave importance to the role of women and set forth immortal programmes to be served as guidelines for the strengthening and development of the Korean women’s movement in each period and at every stage of the developing revolution.

A large number of women cadres grew up under the loving care and trust of Chairman Kim Jong Il who assigned women to important positions in various fields and units.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is writing a new history of trust and affection for women with his noble intention that the development of the state is accelerated and the harmony and unity of society are consolidated when the position and role of women are enhanced.

Under his loving care, our women have grown up as creators of miracles and feats, displaying the revolutionary spirit and mettle of the Korean women.
