Strong Aspiration for Sustainable Development
The Red Cross Society of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS) held a consultative meeting recently to review the 2024 implementation and draw up 2025 action plan.
At the meeting, the Society defined sustainable development as the main orientation in its work with a focus on strengthening its organizational capacity and resilience on the basis of successes and lessons learnt in 2024.
Such activities of the Society were also identified as to support the completion of the national crisis management system and to strengthen the cooperation with the government in the areas of disaster risk reduction, health, water and sanitation and eco-environmental protection aligned with its long-term plan of 2021-2030.
It was followed by in-depth discussions to reflect these activities in the 2025 plan of action. Consultations were held in parallel at the branches at provincial, city and county level to review their work in 2024 and to draw up their plans of action for 2025.
