On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Under the care of the Workers’ Party of Korea, persons with disabilities are enjoying the benefits of social welfare policy of the State across all spheres of social life and displaying their aptitudes and talents to the full.
The DPRK Law on the Protection of Persons with Disabilities in June, 2003 and the Law of DPRK on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in September, 2023 were adopted, thus providing a legal guarantee for further promoting the protection of persons with disabilities amid public interest.
The Red Cross Society of the DPRK fulfils its mission as an auxiliary organization to the government for ensuring the rights and interests of persons with disabilities.
The RC volunteers across the country conducted several activities for persons with disabilities on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities that falls on the 3rd of December.
