Prioritizing Hygiene Promotion
The Red Cross Society of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS) prioritizes hygiene promotion and is now channeling its efforts into relevant activities to prevent the spread of seasonal communicable diseases.
Priority is given to the capacity-building of RC volunteers so that they would contribute to the promotion of public health with a high sense of responsibility. In close cooperation with local authorities concerned, careful arrangements have also been made to prevent potential epidemics in the communities.
Hygiene promotion is given due importance and lots of efforts are being directed into producing comprehensive and easy-to-understand promotion materials backed with vivid examples.
At the same time, technical workshop for RC volunteers are being effectively arranged for their capacity-building for hygiene promotion activities.
