Carrier in Line of "Hwanggumhae" Built
The Nampho Fishing Station successfully built a 300 hp carrier in the line of “Hwanggumhae”on its own efforts and technique.
The construction of the carrier laid a foundation for increasing the capacity of transporting fishes and effectiveness of fishing and hauling.
The workers and technicians of the repairs workshop procured the materials including hundreds square meters of steel plates, bar steel, welding rods and so on with the spirit of self-reliance and self-sufficiency.
They increased the operating rate of equipment to complete the manufacture and assemble of the hull and processing of various accessories in a qualitative way and ensured the items of cooperative production necessary for the construction of the carrier by the appointed time.
The station broke down the established formulae in the manufacture of the ship’s head to introduce reasonable shaping lines method and increased the economic efficiency by enhancing the rate of the propeller.
