Norodm Sihanouk, former King of Cambodia, wrote in the visitor’s’ book to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun as follows:
I pay my respects to H.E. Generalissimo Kim Il Sung , eternal father of the nation, symbol of Korea’s independence and peerless great man. You are a peerless great man who the nation has ever known in its history of many millenniums.
Generalissimo Kim Il Sung , President of the DPRK, is the eternal sun of mankind and vanguard fighter who opposed imperialism and colonialism and fought for the progress.

With the ideal of patriotism, you rallied the entire Korean people into one family with high moral repute and the policy of loving people as ever.
Eternal glory to Your Excellency Generalissimo Kim Il Sung !
In the book, many foreigners called President Kim Il Sung as the Heaven.
One of them is the captain of a vessel Sinion belonging to a European shipping company.
He wrote in the book as follows:
President Kim Il Sung is a savior and Heaven who saved me and my clan.
None of my family has ever seen the Heaven, though they were all faithful Christians.
I alone have had the supreme honour of seeing the Heaven.
The Heaven is President Kim Il Sung .
When our ship ran on a rock in the East Sea of Korea, nobody came to rescue our ship though we begged from the God to help us eagerly.
The DPRK, a country of President Kim Il Sung , alone came to the rescue of our ship.
I wish to exclaim to the world that the DPRK, a country of President Kim Il Sung , is a country of the Heaven.
