Trees planted in over 100,000 Jongbo

Tree planting campaign took place in the area of over 100,000 jongbo(1j/app.2.4acre) during the last spring season nationwide.
Under the guidance and command of the Forest General Bureau of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, various species of trees with high economic effectiveness are planted in the area of over 20,000 jongbo in North Hamgyong Province alone.
Local government in Huichon City, Jagang Province introduced an up-to-date method in planting over 1.7 million wild fruit trees and oil-producing trees.
Trees well-adapted to local climate and soil conditions were planted in the South Hwanghae Province and the cities of Pyongyang and Nampho.
All branches of the Red Cross Society of the DPR Korea (the DPRK RCS) also participate in annual tree planting campaigns in the spring and autumn seasons in accordance with the nationwide land management plan.
