Workshop on Green Response
for the DPRK RCS staff held
The workshop on Environmental Sustainability and Green Response was conducted on November 9, 2023 targeting the staff of the headquarters of the Red Cross Society of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS).In close collaboration with the local environment related stakeholders and the Swedish Red Cross, the DPRK RCS prepared this workshop in accordance with the realities that the climate change and environment protection are high on the agenda of the world.In the workshop, several subjects were introduced like the importance of environmental sustainability of Red Cross activities, definition, components and applying procedures of Green Response and the examples of other National Societies.All participants of the workshop acknowledged that it is very important to integrate the environmental sustainability into the Red Cross activities.The Plan of Action for Green Response of the DPRK RCS will be developed after collecting the opinions and recommendations of all the staff of the DPRK RCS HQs.
