Discussions took place on introducing
the green construction techniques
Environmental protection, green response is well correspondent with the mission of the Red Cross Society of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS) to save the lives of the people and promote their welfare, thus closely related with its activities.The DPRK RCS regards the environmental protection and green response as the crucial issue to be considered obligatorily for improvement of its work and seeks the orientation and solution to introduce the green techniques into the activities of the headquarters, branches and communities.As a part of the solution, the society held discussions and brainstorming for applying green construction techniques to the existing and future red cross activity bases such as the headquarters building and the future resource mobilization units aligning with the mission of the society, capacity, local demands, geographical and socio-economic conditions.An expert in construction was invited to the discussions and good ideas and practical solutions were initiated and shared for introducing the green construction techniques.
