School Opening Ceremony in DPRK
A school opening ceremony took place at the Korean Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disability on April 1.Present there were Yun Chang Il, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, and children, nurses, teachers and doctors and parents.The participants laid a floral basket before the art work depicting smiling PresidentKim Il Sung and ChairmanKim Jong Il among children, and paid high tribute to them.At the ceremony Song Hyang Chun, director of the centre, made an address to be followed by speeches.Speakers noted that many successes have been made in the rehabilitation, upbringing, and education of children with disabilities under the benevolence of the motherly Party (Workers’ Party of Korea), while taking warm care of all the children across the country.They stressed that the children with disabilities will grow up brightly and courageously, bringing their hope and talents into full bloom in the future too under the benefits of the best socialist system.Then the participants looked round the physiotherapy room, work therapy room and other parts of the rehabilitation centre.
