Joint Friendship Gathering
A joint friendship gathering took place at the Taesongsan Pleasure Ground in Pyongyang City, the Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea (the DPRK) on June 1 to mark the 73rd anniversary of the International Children’s Day (June 1).Present at the gathering were chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-premier of the Cabinet, chairman of the Education Commission, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People’s Committee, and kindergartners, kindergarten teachers and women.Representatives and members of the diplomatic missions to the DPRK and foreign guests were invited.Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women’s union, made a speech at the gathering.Children’s songs reverberating far and wide there was a sports and amusements game of children. Foreign guests enjoyed the game with the children revving up the mood of the gathering.After the game the children spent a pleasant time, dancing and enjoying amusement facilities.On the same day, there were colorful events in all the provinces of the country.
