National Flag-hoisting Ceremony Held in DPRK

A national flag-hoisting ceremony was held at Kim Il Sung Square on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
A large number of people gathered at the square of the capital city where the flag of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) would fly high.
The bell rang out at 00:00 on October 10, and the melody of the immortal revolutionary hymns “Song of General Kim Il Sung” and “Song of General Kim Jong Il” resounded forth.
Then, a worker, a farmer and an intellectual respectfully hoisted the national flag amid the solemn playing of the DPRK national anthem.
The masses paid high tribute to the national flag which is the dignity, life and bright future of all the Korean people who have defended as their lives for decades and glorified generation after generation.
Various fireworks were displayed in the nocturnal sky of the capital city to celebrate the significant October holiday.
